Hazel Walker


Hazel Walker was born in Aberdeenshire, studied at Edinburgh College of Art from 1981-85, and later Wimbledon School of Art from 1999-2000, where she gained an M.A. in Drawing. She has lived and worked in Co. Clare, Ireland since 1993 and has exhibited widely in Ireland, also recently in Finland and the U.S.A. This is her first solo exhibition back in Scotland since 1993. She has won numerous awards including: the Travel Award, Department of Foreign Affairs (2000 & 1996); Adjudicators Award, Iontas; Ballinglen Foundation Fellowship; Iontas Drawing Award; Arts Council Studio Grant Award; L&P Financial Services Award; Whyte & MacKay Purchase Award, Society of Scottish Artists. Her work is in numerous public collections including: Christian Salvesen PLC Scotland; Environmental Protection Agency, Dublin; First National Building Society, Dublin; Kajaani Art Museum, Finland; KPMG, Dublin; L&P Financial, Dublin; O.P.W., Ireland;
